Messed up my airbox? how to fix ?

So i was drilling a 1/2" thru my airbox pipe (one that goes to the crankcase and closes into a tiny hole inside the airbox), and unfortunately, with the limited space, the drill was at a slight angle and well, caused a hole at an angle and even with the crankcase breather pipe attached, there's still a whole in the airbox, therefore causing a leak.

Looked it up as a part and its $109 + god knows what to ship to replace that particular part, and it doesn't look like an easy part to get too either as the rear suspension is blocking getting to the screws to undo... Am looking for suggestions on how to repair the extra opening that needs to be closed. its going to need to successfully bond to the black air box plastic and stay there permanently

Was thinking perhaps some drywall tape and goo-gone, which will harden up and hopefully seal..... Unless someone else has some better suggestions?

The whole is only 2 or 3mm so just need to come up with a way that'll permanently close it up and keep the vacuum intact.

Liquid electrical tape. I love that stuff - sets up harder than you'd think.. Great on your Cheerios too..

I would use PC7, Liquid Steel, or similar epoxy. Fill the hole and let it set. Put some tape behind it on the outside of the air box with a bit of space around the hole for the epoxy to squish through a bit to mushroom around both sides of the hole, then let it set up and cure. I did PC7 on some engine cases when I tossed a chain through them, No problems.

Used air boxes can be cheap in eBay. I'd send you one of my extra ones but I'm in the Philippines ..

Thanks guys, i picked up some quick steel.

It aint pretty but its a fix !

Fixing this mistake was nearly as difficult as getting the entire 351 job out. Getting that airbox out was a right pain. Have to take it apart in the frame, otherwise you can't get it out. And getting to those screws can be challenging.
