?? Hmmmm I have had a much easier time changing front tires. The rears seem to have thicker/stiffer sidewalls with less give.

^^^ This.

When i put my kenda's on the rear was a real pain in comparison to the front which i got on with only 1 iron. Rear took 2 irons and a piece of flat stock...
