Default Loud Mouth air filter intake kit?

Hey,
Has anyone tried this product and know if it is as good as they say?

Loudmouth High Performance Air Filter Intake Kit | MotoSport

The website says it wont fit a 09 klx250sf. Anybody find one that does fit? I'm really curious about this product, could be a nice bolt on.

Thanks!

so it gets rid of the airbox ? no airbox on a CV carb will result in rideability issues most times. Besides i really doubt you are going to get much more airflow than with the lid removed vs. no airbox at all.

I got the impression it fits inside the stock airbox on the models it fits. I read some reviews on it on a couple of other sites. Most of them were good. It seems to work best on high performance, competition models.

WOW... almost $200 for a new intake flange? No thanks.

Also - notice the description says " This new design eliminates the weld of the flange to the intake housing and significantly increases the integrity of the product. (Patent Pending)" but when you look at the picture, it's CLEARLY welded. Hmmm... I wasn't born yesterday.

Alright I that basically answers my question I was a little confused with the product description. I agree that no lid is a better idea.

Would you guys recommend cutting out the screen back fire screen? Im not sure if it'a worth it or not.

Would no lid help me if I have a stock header?

I'm not promoting this device, and I'm not going to buy one. Still, I saw quite a few tests and reviews that really spoke highly of this thing. Rather than absolute power gains, it seemed to improve the powerband. I don't know...it didn't look like total snake oil. Now, this looks like it's something more appropriate on a full blown race bike in racing conditions. It doesn't look as applicable for a DS engine like the KLX..
