Looking for a Locking gas cap for an IMS tank

I'm buying an IMS tank and would like to get a locking cap for it. I've seen some online for the Acerbis tank that also claim they will fit on the IMS tank. Can anyone verify if this will work or preferably shoot me a part number if you have one.

I bought the Acerbis cap and the fit was quite poor it would only fit if I removed the rubber gasket from the cap and it would not tighten enough, I stuck with the IMS cap.
If someone in New Zealand needs a Acerbis cap I have one going cheap.

i couldn't find a locking cap with two-way venting...the acerbis cap works and vents in, so you won't have any problems riding....but, it doesn't vent out, so if you leave your bike under the sun, the tank can swell and have problems...

i think i posted this topic before...and, put acerbis' response to my questions

Interesting, I didn't know gas caps are two-way venting. I do remember you posting about the cap but forgot why you decided against it. So the tank doesn't have the vent tubes at the bottom like the OEM ones do?

You could always drill a vent tube hole...

While I prefer to have a locking cap, do I really need one? None of my cars have locking caps. My RV has 55 gallons of gas in it. I've never had an issue with people messing with any of it, but I know it happens. I'm not too worried about the 2 gallons in the KLX. Have you guys had people steal your gas or throw stuff in your tank?

:confused::confused:I find it rather funny that people want locking gas caps

is this to keep people from stealing gas ???

I would this if they wanted to steal gas they would pull the

hose off the carb and stick it in a bottle or a can :confused::confused:

No, I just don't want some punk putting $hit in my tank while the bike is unattended.

Everyone has different needs, what's fine for you might not be for others.
