Was going to turf the ol MT21 was down to the last 1/4 of centre tread and was giving me grief in the mud!But wait I decided to attack it with grinder then razor knife then when that broke finally a hacksaw!!!well 30 min later its done and wow totally transformed that ol pig, grabs great for being worn out.Pulling wheelies and all the tricks just like new.If your thinking of turfing that almost worn out old boot try cutting all the bigger ***** with an aggresive angle and youll be amazed what it does!!

Hey Stro, check out the Knobby Knife. Some of my friends on here, and TNC, helped me win one in a contest about a year ago. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...44/#post481709 It will give the same great results as you got, but with a lot less work. See the thread above for a bunch of pics.
I'm not 100% sure if the cost of the tool is worth it, but mine ended up being free so mines definitely worth it.

dan, I wondered how long it would be before you chimed in about your precious knobby knife. I can hear you know..."I love the smell of melting rubber in the morning!"...LOL!

I mailed you a few tires a couple of weeks back for a sharpening. When can I get them back?

LOL,,,,, You definitely smell the rubber when you do it, and it does work pretty good , but honestly I think I only have used it 3 times. I did let a buddy use it and he liked it.Its only been used 4 times, but it's ready and waiting.
Lotrat IF you mailed a stack of tires to me they must have gotten lost in the mail. I wonder what it costs to ship a few tires from CA to IL and back?

Stro, I'm next door to you in Grand Forks. I ventured up to the Santa Rosa towers last week for the first time. Next week I think we go back and head down to Sheep Creek area. Any spots in there that I should check out?

Also, I read you signature and saw that you have a KTM pipe. How well did that fit to the KLX. If you have a photo, I'd like to see it.

Much snow up there still? Ride the crest trail a few times a year and around SR area.If you head up towards Rossland from sheep creek the gas line has a really fun techy rocky Quad/single track heading up it (from up big sheep FSR).Let me know if you want to go for a ride someday give me a call (250-362-7229).KTM pipe needs abit of welding to fit (Ive got a shop with all the goodies at work), but works well and very cheap & pretty quite.

Speaking of snow, some of the Colorado guys just announced that Imogene Pass between Ouray and Telluride is open. That's very early for that pass to be open...13,100 feet. Looks like it will be a long riding season.

If you like the smell of rubber in the morning, the easy way is to make a cup of 'lapsang suuchong" tea with your man's breakfast. That will put hair on your chest.

I think it would be easier just to mail the knife, than 3 sets of moto tires, just say'in.

As a matter of fact, I'll trade you a big can of that tea for the use of the tool for one week, but it will be a while since I just put new tread on the beast. Just in case you get a little disorientated without the smell of burnt rubber.
