Default KLX250SF snorkle removal without re-jetting

Can I remove the snorkle on my stock 2009 KLX250SF without re-jetting? It has the stock exhaust .I just want it to be a little louder, not worried about HP for now. I plan on a FMF slip-on and re-jetting in the future but until I can save up can I just run it stock without the snorkle? Also, If running it offroad should I leave it in?

Try it to find out. It’s free. I did it when I got the bike, and didn’t like it after a few days. So I put it back on. The bike runs great without modifying. If you need more power, I’d get a bigger bike. If you want it lowder, put an aftermarket exhaust (I really don’t like those though).

No, It will not run right.

I had a tm36-68 carb and KDX snorkel on my 09 and it ran great. I pulled the carb and put the stock carb back on to sell the bike and it wasn’t running very good at all. I remembered I had the KDX snorkel on it and put the stock one on and it ran fine with with the stock snorkel.
