Klx250 whining noise on decel?
My bike is making some high pitch noise on decel you can here in his video. I thought it was the front wheel, so took it apart, inspected and greased, but it still making the noise (you can here it best in the video around 30 seconds).
Is it a noisy brake perhaps?
It does it when the clutch is held in and the bike is losing speed

Speakers on my computer are crap, so I really cannot listen to the video, but I have a suggestion to eliminate some variables. Grab a screwdriver and go out to some safe longer open road with little to no traffic. Take the screwdriver and carefully pry the brake pads away from the rotor. Make sure neither side is in contact with the rotor.
Now, first, realize you have no front brake on the first squeeze or two of the lever, so there is a minor amount of risk here should there be some reason during this test, to need to brake quickly. Run the bike down the road, pull in the clutch and let the bike slow - the time you hear the noise. After testing and finding out if the noise is still there or not, carefully pump up your front brake again.
If you don't hear the noise that would tell you the noise is your brake pads dragging on the rotor. That is all this experiment will tell you - if the brake pads are dragging. Sometimes drilled or slotted rotors can make a whirring noise when the brakes are applied. I know that happens with my XSR, but forget if it does with the KLX.
If you find the brake pads are dragging there are two possibilities. First and easiest to deal with would be the pins the caliper slides on are sticking, clean and lube them. Second, the caliper needs disassembled and cleaned, the pistons may be sticking.
That's all I've got... hope it's easy to take care of.

It seems to me that we have the same problem. My bike has been making this kind of noise for a while now. I am not sure if the sound is made only in decelaration and at low speeds,or that we are able to hear it only in these conditions. I thought that it could be the wheel bearing, but i havent try something to fix it. Did you change the front wheel bearing?
If you or someone else know what it is,please let us know.

Did you try the thing I mentioned with the brakes?
Does it make the noise when sitting still?
Have you done anything with the cam drive?
Does it change when shifting gears or does it continuously grow without regard to shifting?

Thanks for the info. I will review the brakes function soon. I crashed the same day I posted this, and have been laying about with a sore leg since. I do suspect you are correct with the brake function issue, but will confirm at a later date. The bike is stock, and only began making the noise after changing brake pads recently and inspecting caliper lol :/
No, I have a KLX250 and a KLX330. And I hate to say it, but I prefer the 250 stock simplicity. Others opinions may vary depending on where they are based and level of mechanical support on offer. I will probably restore my 330cc to 250 cc should annoying issues continue.
