The Edge is a great option to get rid of that whale tale stocker. I bought the Edge MotoLED that has a plastic mount for the plate. Since I seem to bend the plate stepping on & off the bikes...

 

The edge 2 system and its a perfect fit. I just installed mine last night and its absolutely awesome. Forest at wheelingcyclesupply is great, super fast shipping as well.

 

I was thinking about the Edge kit for my 09 klx 250 sf and when I saw your pictures I noticed your license plate was not bolted with the existing holes. So you had to drill your plate to fit the Edge bracket? My MS Plate is 5 11/16 center to center of mounting holes.

Yes, you will need to drill new holes for the plate.

 

I used custom brackets for my plate on the Edge taillight, because in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Massachusetts I'd probably get fined for drilling the plate.

 

i used zip ties, only broke one (use 4 total) in almost a year.
