Well it may be high, don't go by what I paid for mine. I ordered mine in September of 2005, two months before the shop even got it in, and I got the first one of the first two that came in. In fact I was in such a hurry, that when they called me Friday night and said it would be ready sometime on Saturday, I was at the door when it opened at 9:00. The shop is an hour away, but I just couldn't wait any longer. When I got there they were still putting it together, I actually got to see how they come in the crate. Anyway there was no negotiating on the price then because it was supply and demand. I demanded that they supply me with the first one,[8D] and honestly they could have added on a grand or two and I still would have bought it. Now that doesn't mean I don't care about how much I pay for stuff, or that I have an endless supply of money,(although my new printer does copy money pretty well
) but now I guess 15 months later there is more power in favor of the buyer since its not as new anymore.

That's $20 dollars more than I paid for mine new, out the door. While I was looking I found two used ones with similar mileage at $3,750.
That said, I would buy that used one before I would buy a new one at full list price + fees.

Use Kelly Blue Book to get a ballpark price:

Note the difference between retail and trade-in.
Also consider any add-ons that might be included, i.e., pipe, skid plate, hand guards, pegs, big bores, etc, and your time and effort to install said bling. Those items shouldn't necessarily fetch new prices since they are used too, but they are not free either.
