Default KLX 250H '06 Fork Guards / Protectors WANTED

Hi Folks,

I know these things are rare as hens teeth, and very expensive to buy OEM {AU$140} just wondering if anyone has any luck sourcing any, even second hand?

I ordered the KX250'04 after market ones, but these still dont fit well as the bottoms requires 3 bolts to secure and my originals are only 2 bolts and close together at 90 degrees. Waste of time.

Anyone have any old ones to sell?? Any advice greatly appeciated!!

Did you get you fork protectors yet. It seems like there is a link where OEM stuff can be ordered at reasonable prices. If you have not got them, I will see if I can find the link for you.

I recomend these.

These have held up very well for over a year, no sign of deterioration, still flexible.

Dan's UFO suggestion works excellently. The stock units, besides being absurdly expensive, are made of a more brittle, easy to crack plastic. The UFO versions are like fender material...flexible, durable, impact resistant. I wouldn't go back to the stock one's on my '06 if they were the same price.

Thanks Dan, I saw your link and the UFO fork protectors look great. Nice little bit of trimming as well. I ordered some Acerbis KX125/250 ones. They don't have collars with slider channels, but I hope they will be sturdy enough.

The sliders were the reason I went with the UFO's. I'm thinking the ones you got will work OK though. Be sure to put up a follow up on what you think of the Acerbis.

Same here on the UFO's.

They look much better, and should be more practical.
