Kickstand

Is it me or are the kickstands long on theese things??It just seems like the bike isnt leaning far enough over when on stand, kinda tippy.Maybe Im just paranoid, but it does stay next to my all original 67 Pontiac,Id hate to see it fall over.Im thinking maybe cut it down and reweld it.Opinions?

if you have a klx250s, you can always use a klx250sf kickstand...i have a lifted rear, so my bike leans pretty far to the side...i might be better off with a klx250s kickstand....trade?..haha...guess you can't really tell in the picture...even the shops says my bike leans a lot...but, i can sit on it and it won't tip over...

How is your sag set on your rear spring? Maybe you have too much sag?

Seems like my kickstand is kinda short after i sprung it correctly. It really leans over.

EMS_0525..your bike leans as much as mine with the kickstand down...turn your bars all the way left and it'll lean a bit more...mine seems fine and i don't think i'll tip over...it actually helps to have such a big lean when parking on the steep san francisco hills....

Big lean isn't so good for trail riding. I resprung, which lifted the rear, and it's worse than before. Thinking about trying a few things. One would be to weld a camel toe on the bottom to give it more foundation area. Other is cut the stand, weld a threaded section to the lower end, and nut on upper, with jam nut and make it adjustable.

How many times have I stopped on a trail just looking for that perfect size rock for the kickstand to sit on to keep her from falling over!!!
