I have a 2006 klx250 that the electric start won't start. Is there a conversion I can do to make my bike a kick start bike? can it be converted to start with an electric and kick start? Basicly I would like to know my starting options for my bike and any part numbers for available upgrades.

I can start it by bump, tow, running down the hill in my driveway and popping the cluch in 2nd gear. battery is fully charged. I tried the battery out of my quad that I knew worked just incase my charger was wrong.

You can add a kickstarter for about $300 in parts. Search on here for more info.
Why won't it start with the starter ? battery dead ?, bad safety switch? I would figure that out first. Can you bump start it ?
adding a Kickstarter is not a bad idea, but you may have other problems.
