key removal??????????

Has any one remove the key and just put a switch? If so do you need some kind of resistor? What size if you do need it? I want to get rid of the stock top heavy crap (light, key, speedometer) on the front so the bike feels more flickable

Yeah, 100 ohm resistor, it needs to be between the two wires that connect to the CDI when the key is "on", and those wires are shorted when the key is "off". There are also two pairs of power wires in there that need to be connected together when the key is "on", but disconnected when the key is "off". So you need a double pole, triple throw switch to handle the three circuits (or is it triple pole, double throw?, I can never remember). It needs to handle fairly high current, the headlight and brake light power is passed through it.
