Don't trust me on that though, I went with the Keihin jets and N1TC needle cause I already had them laying around.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your bike. I have the same year KlX250.
There are many options for jetting. I think I bought the KLX300 DynoJet kit, can't remember.
I ended up going with the DJ 120 main, the DJ needle. My bike runs great but, most guys go with a larger main.
Check out the FAQ in the sticky section. There's lots of good info there with many links. Lots of great people here to help you out.

Just go onto the DJ site and see if your numbers match the kit for a KLX300.

The jet kits you're looking at are slightly different. I too used the KLX300 kit (DJ #2206) on my '06. But I recall others around here using the 09+ kit on the older carbs. Look up the instructions and parts list on line to see what is different. The needles have different part numbers and I'll be there's a "little" difference between them. Give dynojet a call or email if you're not sure.

the 09klx 250s has every main jet the klx300 kit has....only differences in parts list is 09 has a 228 needle and the klx300 has a 352...the 09 also has a slide spring where as the 300 kit does not...i have never messed with a carburetor before, is that needle gonna make a night and day difference or do u think the 09 kit will work?
