Hey Paul, here in Washington State, motorcycle insurance is not required. But I decided that the cost for good liability far out weighed the potential for disaster. I looked on-line and Geico offered a minimum liability policy for my bike and myself for $80.00 a year. The coverage is $25,000/$50,000/$300,000. When my wife got her bike I called them to see how much more it was going to be to add her bike and they said $8.00 a year for the same coverage. So $88.00 a year for great piece of mind.

Oh and the reason I didn't go with full coverage is that with at least a $500.00 deductible, you could replace a lot for that. If it was a $20,000 bike I might have considered full coverage, and I'm sure the bank would have insisted as well.

Im checking Geico & it's $190 a year. I have to have insurance to pick up the bike from the dealer.
I did a quote w/Progressive & they wanted $654 yr Ouch! I wonder if I screwed something up.

Im gonna get the policy online in the am & pick up this Saturday.

Hey Dirt_Beaver, You are in Ct too! Where & once I get dialed in with this bike, if you want to ride with a 40 year old man let me know. Sounds like your bike is set up how I want mine!

I ride with a 35 year old all the time,I thinkI can handle the couple extra years! I don't care how old the person isI ride with. I've taken my friends 11 year old brother out with mebefore just because i think its boring toride alone.

But yeah, let me know when u wanna ride...

Deej, why would ya for pay for extended warranty (waranty is insurance) and not full coverage......or at least theft plus liability.

Ijust got liablity & theft on my bikes, but no extended warranty. I'm confused..
