So last night I'm surfing the net reading up on the Klx and I start to come across these posts about Idler Gears. Seems on the Klx300 the teeth can come off the gear and it has a bronze bushing that wears out causing the gear to wobble on the shaft. Bottom line is it can Destroy your motor because it might crack your cases If and When it lets go.

The impression I got was this was a Well Known Issue. I also got the impression that Kawi silently took care of this problem back in 2002. Anybody else know about this timebomb. Did kawi Fix the issue in 2002. Since the klx is electric start and not kick is this even a possible problem for the klx250s. Inquiring minds want to know....
