Some highlights from last weekend's ride. We rode up Boundary Creek and down Williams Creek for those of you familiar with the Stanley area. The video is only of sections in the Casino and Garland lakes stretch. We had a blast.

Nice falls, I do that literally 20 times every day. I'm such a hand job in the dirt!

Nice video. We like our Idaho single track smooth as glass and hunnert mph fast! :D

Was that up Boundary Creek to Sunny Gulch to Martin-Big Casino and down Williams Creek? That's what it looks like when trying to put the trails together. I'm trying to get my riders to ride there sometime soon. Hopefully before the wilderness folks get it all closed off. How long did it take? Were you up there for the "State Ride."

Ya, up boundary creek. South on Little Casino Creek to Martin Creek continuing south through Warm Springs Meadow to Willliams Creek. The whole loop took about 3 hrs including breaks.

Didn't make the state ride. Didn't even hear about it.

I noticed that was your first video. Nice job. Keep them coming.

I encourage you to join your local Trail Machine Association. There are several around the state. Aren't you in the Magic Valley? Membership
Besides having a number of rides through the season and supporting responsible trail riding, the one I belong to (TVTMA) works closely with Idaho Parks and Rec, Forest Service, and BLM in securing trails and participates in several annual trail maintenance projects. They adopted the Bull Trout Lake trail (which was closed or going to be closed due to lack of maintenance) and contribute to Blue Ribbon Coalition. Mostly, they are just a good group of riders worth knowing.

Thanks for the great video. That looks like the kind of challenging trail I like.

I was wondering what happened on your two spills. The first one looked like the front wheel washed out. On the second it looked like you may have down shifted into neutral by accident. I've done this many times resulting in a dink. Or, what actually happened?

I also like the way you edited out the boring parts.

The first one was a wash out. The video doesn't show it real well, but the main trail was kind of a big rut. My front wheel got on the outside of the rut sloping away and the stock front tire didn't have a chance. I'm not sure if a knobby would have helped or not.

The second one was a pure rookie mistake. Climbing out of the ditch was fairly steep and I wasn't carrying enough speed. I started to lose my balance and correct by turning the wheel to the left. I was feathering the clutch the whole time and as I turned the wheel pulled the clutch in too far (hence the rev in rpms). So I was out of balance and wasn't moving which is a bad place to be in. lol. Went to put my foot down and didn't feel any ground so I bailed. As you probably know, once the KLX starts to go it's a heavy pig to catch. My brother behind me got a good laugh out of it though!
