Default Icon Field Armor instead of Chest Protector

I am feeeling liike chatty old lady in a knitting circle. this is my third post tonight....

Instead of a chest protector or a Quite Riot t-shirt or ?, does anybody wear the Icon Field Armor here is a link for a photo.
http://azsbk.stores.yahoo.net/2701-0070.html

I know it is a street bike thing, not really a dirt bike thing.
But my KLX is on the street about as much as it is on the road. I have been wearing my Joe Rocket Jacket on the street and in the dirt.
But for the dirt, Joe Rocket is going to get too hot.
This afternoon I was sweating like ho in church. (hmm maybe that was pushing it)

Anyway it looked good, and I like the tail bone protection.

Anybody wear one?
Any comment on fit and quality?

Thanks

Does your Thor look like this one?
The Thor Impact Rig SE.
Ebay

How is it for comfort and how cool is it in the summer?
Do you use it for Street, dirt, or both?
Thanks

I'm looking at the EVS BJ22 Ballistic Off-Road Jersey for my off road trips. If you're worried about heat, hard armor around your body isn't going to help. Airflow from open mesh gear is the best I've used but, it doesn't really offer the protection I get with good hot hard armor.

I have the 661 one just like the THOR one that you have pictured above. I only ride offroad but that thing has saved my bacon more than once!! I will not ride with out it.

I ride off road with it under a jersey I sweat with it on but i could ride with no shirt and sweat I really don't think about it. I have jackets with armor for street use.

I own and ride with the Thor Impact Rig SE (last year's model in black and red) and I really like the fit, the fact that it has a mesh body and built-in kidney belt. . . however, you should understand that the arms (with all the elbow and forearm protection) CAN slide up your arms in a sliding crash. You will instantly have NO protection in those areas. I have painful experience with this phenomenon. I have seen a few rigs with thumb-loops which will prevent this from happening. Six Six One makes at least 2 models with the included thumb-loops. There may be others. . . .

While I was in the store I tried on the Icon Field Armor.
- I give a sarcastic "Yea right" to that one.
It would be better than nothing, but that is not the name of my game.

I just pulled the trigger on the EVS Ultra. I triedon the XL and decided to have them order the XXL to give that a shot. I have a 42" chest so I am on the fence from XL to XXL.

I saw the EVS-BJ22-Ballistic-Jersey and the Ultra version. The Ultra spine protection goes all the way down instaed of stopping at the Kindey belt. Other than that they seemed the same. The price was the same, I opted for all the spine protection.
"why not?"

Here is a half way desent, halfway crappy picture.
EVS-BJ22-Ultra-Ballistic-Jersey

Don't "they" know that Black is hot. What about light gray?
The Thor is Light gray, but they did not have that one.

I bought mine in the store. Paid $144
I'll get the XXL on Tuesday.

Also bought a Battery Tender for the ATV Z400 while I was there. The ATV has taken the backseat with the KLX in the garage

Anybody have a Battery Tender? Just plug it in and forget about it? right?

the icon field armor legs are good - but the boots aren't that comfortable and squeek when you walk. never tried the chest rig.

this is the one I wear under everything........
I've taken some big hits, rolling down small cliffs; launching over the bars a couple of times it has held up great!
