Default I just burned through a tank of gas.

90 miles, didn't hit the reserve. I took a quick ride up to Palomar Mountain this morning. Heard about the Nate Harrision trail and decided to check it out. 14 miles of dirt, 14 miles of twisty pavement... Lots of smiles.

I even saw snow... Never thought my KLX would be in snow.

I'm too old to try and plan stuff. When everyone is sleeping, I get up and go. By the time they figure out what happened, I'm already on my way back.

Yeah it was short, but the entire ride from Carlsbad and back was 3 hours.

Next up is Black Canyon Rd... no idea when.

You got other cool local-ish places I should check out?

How was the paved section sections? sand washing over the road kinda thing? Any sport riders up that area during your ride? Pipedown lives around there as well, but he has a lowly KTM putt putt.

congrats on the nice ride time.

The paved section is a sport riders dream. Clean and smooth asphalt. There's a few guys setup taking pictures of all the bikes. See if you can find the fatty on the KLX: Photo Event
