Default I busted my plastic fork tube cover

I was post ride inspecting my bike today and found a piece missing out of my right hand fork tube cover=======my question is====do they make aftermarket ones? are the klx 300 forks the same and can I order some for one of those bikes=====if it isnt a direct fit then I will just spend the 30.00 bucks at the dealer for a new one that fits without having to modify one

I busted one of those and, at the time, there was no after market one available (as far as I could find out).
There were some KX ones but they are not a direct fit.
Can they be adapted?

I think mine cost over $50.

Try Babbitt's, they have oem parts for cheaper than the dealer. It may take awhile for the parts to get to ya.

I use kx 250 guards and they are not a direct replacement. They work but you gotta fiddle witht them a bit. $29 for both. I think they're UFO guards

i know how you feel, i went for a ride and destroyed the RHS one, replaced that with a genuine unit $50AUD and then on the next ride i cracked the LHS one . so next time i'll be getting some KX ones and modding them as i dont have the fork slide guides due to fitting seal savers.
I think the guards from the kx250 92-94 fit with some mods as described above. Planetklx has the correct years to suit.

If you use the extra long seal savers, you could probably just ditch the fork guards altogether.

I dont think I'd ever ride with no fork covers=======what ever broke the cover didnt hit and ding my fork===if you have a ding or a scratch in your fork tubes======I assume it tears the oil seal===the last thing I want is to have a rock---and there are tons where we ride====dent my forks======I need a skid plate too cause I have felt some pretty good thuds on the rocky hill climbs and my luck I'll crack the case with a well placed rock shot
