How to clean white plastics on bike?

The plastics on my klx250 look very grubby and used, done about 7500 miles overall bike looks ok though paint very thin on engine cases.
The white panels look terrible and almost grubby like engrained grime.
What is the best way to clean them, I would imagine I can not use t-cut or polish? or is there specific type to use on this plastic?

I have always just taken them off, soaked in warm soapy water and scrubbed with a dishwashing scrub (non metal). A wipe over with silicon spray gives them a good glow. Just don't get any near the seat;)

Second your call about the engine paint, half mine came off the cases with the first time i blasted with the pressure hose.

Mother's makes a plastic polish that works great. It has a cleaner in the polish, so you're cleaning the plastic while protecting it with a shine. It has some UV protection too.

I haven't tried them on my plastics yet but the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are unbelievable on everything else I've tried them on. Took magic markers off of my son's white closet door when no detergent would even touch it.

Thanks all think will give the plasitc scrub with a non metal scrubber, then use plastic polish I am in the UK so not sure what 'Mothers polish' is, or is that another term for the polish your mum uses to clean furniture etc? lol

Found the paint is very easily worn away on frame or engine where boots touch just makes it look like dont v high miles to!
