Don't forget to take pictures so that we can share! There is just something about the old bikes that really excites me. Probably because I'm old and living in the past. That RM400 is going to be cool!
Yup, I too have the same passion for the old bikes.

I really like that tank paint design, looks great.

BTW.....what does your wife think about the bike now?

She still refers to it as my "hunk-o-junk" but now it has become a term of edearment rather than a critisizm. She likes it.

Gary, that's what it's all about, Man. You have inspired us all with your hard work and excellent documentation. No new bike could give the pleasure that you must have felt when you busted that puppy off for the first time. Here's to many years of enjoyment as you keep the piston pin from ever rusting up again.

What an excellent reincarnation ... probably better now than before in its first life! Great job.

You definitely deserve the "Golden Wench Award":

You transformed that into one hella fine ride! You were so darn thorough I was half expecting you to send the frame off to 'Knubby' for paint.[8D] Not that it needs it.

It must produce some serious low-end torque. Once you catch your second wind, how about a ride report? ;)

Did you find any weird rigging from previous owners/mechanics?

I know I have on my project. Just last night I removed the fork springs and one fork was correct and the other had a washer and spacer in the wrong sequence and upside down. Im gonna remove the damper rods tonight so I hope the lower halve is okay and correct[:@]
