HMF pipe sound/video clip

They claim with the quiet core in its 96db. They don't mention here if the QC is in or not but I'd assume that it is. They also say if you JUST get the slip on and use the QC you don't need to rejet. I wonder if that means it doesn't flow anymore than stock and therefore the only benefit being weight and looks? Doesn't sound too bad, but crappy youtbe quality videos and being that its not in person do it justice. But better than nothing. There is also a Q4 vid on youtube i listened to and it seems close, maybe louder. But the guy never mentions if he has a QC in it or not. I would of imagined the Q4 is quieter becuase it has a longer can and supposedly if you have the header the expansion chamber helps quiet it. Another thing I noticed, if i remember correctly is that two brothers has what looks to be a good QC but I never heard what one sould like. All the ones I heard to the best of my knowledge didn't have one. It looks like the hole side almost like the stock one, where as without it its just a big gaping hole. Can anyone confirm this, or have any sound clips of info?

heres the HMF clip

LOL. Only 2010 hits for the HMF. I've got more than 3500 for the two Brothers. :D
This is what a Staintune pipe sounds like.

Sound level comparisons

I'm in the noise control business and for my own amusement, did a sound level test of my bike stock and then with an HMF slip-on with and without the QC and IMO it has a nice sound and I believe that HMF has documentation on their web site with the HP gains and I copied them on my sound level results, which are posted.

One thing for sure, there is no value to comparing sound clips -way to many variables. The only way to know for sure is to use the same test standards and get actual sound level readings.
As offered, anyone in the Syracuse area that wants to get a sound level reading for other systems can stop by my office.

Hey JRock,
I am actually in Baldwinsville, just NW of Syracuse -the name sounds familiar, but I don't know any Secors.
Take care, Glen

So what readings did you get with the HMF? Did they match up with the manufacture website?
