Helmet Cam - Vid from this past Sunday

Took some helmet cam footage from a ride this weekend down around Fort Bragg. Had a great time hanging with the ADVrider crew that ride a couple hours south of me. We rode about 125 miles, mostly open, fast sandy roads and trails. The military does training in this area, you can see we get diverted in one place as we wandered into an area we were not supposed to be. I don't get to ride in sand very much, so this was kind of a treat for me. The sand pit about 2 minutes in was a lot of fun, too.

Sorry no KLX's in this one, but there is a KLR, does that count? The dude on the KLR could really ride that bike, too.

Enjoy.

Great vid. I love my V.I.O. POV too, it has really impressive image stability and quality. Can't wait to get home and try it on my bike. Have used it mainly with the CRV but am about to set it up in one of our chase cars at work. :D

Yeah that VIO POV.1 cam is pretty cool. The only thing better would be totally self contained so you don't have the a/v cable or the recorder to deal with. But recording decent quality directly to flash and having no moving parts to vibrate or break as well as easy upload to the computer is very nice.

Here are some photos I took that day as well. I'm the one on the KTM. ;)

I found some real cheap gas on the way home, maybe I should post this in the gas prices thread? :)

That was a great ride. Reminds me of my days in the Military. For future reference, every Army base has a Wardens office and a personal gun range, a range where soldiers can shoot their own weapons. The Wardins office will more than likely be at the same place. They have installation maps that show all the ranges and will also point out which ones are live.

A 108 howitzer coming down range would make a bad day!

Wish I was there! Thanks for sharing!
