Handlebars v Keys

I'm hoping for a workaround. I put in aftermarket aluminum handlebars, and I like them tilted forward just a little bit. Problem is, that makes getting the keys in and out more difficult. Not impossible, just challenging. Is it possible to move the key location? Looking for creative and simple ideas that don't involve handlebar risers or tilting the handlebars backwards; they are exactly where I like them.

Can you get just the key in and out ok? If so, maybe put it on a little chain from your key ring to give you better clearance.

I think you'll have a difficult time moving the key just a little. Relocating is an option. I removed mine for a toggle switch. Here are a couple pics.

Get an extra key cut and trim the part you grab to the bare minimum.

I have the same issue...I just deal with taking a little more time to fit the key, notice I said the key, as in singular(that helped).
It's still annoying, I'm hoping to fix it too.
I will probably replace the key switch with an aftermarket one mounted on the fork, or back in the old 70's position, on the side panel.

^^ this

Like IDRIDR ,I have also removed the ignition switch and replaced it with a toggle switch, but it is quite a bit of work, and obviously not as secure.

Dan, where the hell have you been?

:D Hey Scott! , I look in every once in a while. Seems like I have a million other things going on that keep me away. Hope all is well.
