I learned the hard way that NOT USING a quadlock and choosing a cheaper alternative broke the bank after it rattled loose on the fly and my phone needed replacement after being destroyed on the road... Sigh

Been running quad lock 2 years now (with anti vibration handlebar mount) as I need it for lead rider navigation duties. Can't rate it high enough 👍

 

You surely want your phone on your body in a way that it cannot separate from you. This is for safety. Buy a cheapo phone to run on your bike(s) for GPS navigation.

RAM X-thingy absolutely sucks. Get something that will secure what you use. There are plenty of cheap ones with claws on the sides that self adjust.

 

I have been using this..Amazon 20 bucks…tighten down really nice…and for me match my red bike..
