guards

Recomended skid plate and rad guards for a 2009 KLX250?
Who makes the best design? and good price.

Just plug in "guards" into the "search this forum" box to the upper right of this thread, and you'll find all the hits on skid plate, rad guards, and everything else. I noticed the Unabiker rad guards are contained in that hit, and they may be considered the best. For skid plates you'll get more hits, because there are so many more skid plates available that seem to work with equal results.

+1 for Unabiker Rad Guards

While putting on the Unabiker rad guards a couple weeks ago, I buggered up the threads on one of the support rods. Brian sent a replacement part right away - good customer support. He said "tell your friends" so I am. Black anodized.

I went with Scorpion radiator guards and skidplate. I definitely recommend them. Functional and great looking. They're made in Canada, and shipping was pretty quick to me in the U.S.

I have a Works Connection skid plate and I would'nt suggest it to anyone. It is a fine piece but it only protects the underside and nothing sticks out to save the cases. I only got it as the price was right, $25 ebay. I do have the Unibiker rad. guards and I think they are worth evey penny.

Seems like there was a discount code on here somewhere. If you call and order one, mention the code and I think they will honor it.

I have this bash plate.

Ricochet Offroad Skid Plate | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

It took a real serious impact of the weight of the bike and me dropped on a sharp rock after an involuntary wheelie, while trying to climb my way out of some place I shouldn't have been. There's a dinger in the plate but no damage to the bike. It paid for its self right there.

I also have the Scorpion rad guards. They're fine. I have no complaints.

Within the last year I added the guards you desire. I chose, and highly recommend, the utah/ricochet plate and unabiker guards. Both were inexpensive and presented a great value.

I see no compromise on either, well, the unabiker guards do have some pretty poor cutout work in the holes that allow air into the radiators. Totally aesthetic but my 5 year old could have done better with a crayon, makes them look a bit cheap.
