Glafer stainless line routing
 

Ok I've seen some pictures of what others have done in installing their line...Cr style, stock routing with the line that could hook on anything in the trail...etc...

So today I received mine and did the installation and I think I've found a good safe routing for it. Maybe others have done it that way I don't know...But heres a link to what I have done to mine: http://picasaweb.google.com/MartinDK...essLineRouting

Hey Thanks for posting up the pics of the brake line. I was going to send mine back but after looking at your pics I might just keep it. The only thing is that I have already changed my fork gaurds due to the fact that mine were all cracked up at the bottome where they bolt on.

hey Martin...where did u get that line? That is the best looking one I have seen so far. I would love to have the ordering info for it as I still use my stock one, but would love to replace it..thanks.

Well I got my front brake line all installed last night. I ended up making the Galfer line work with a little effort. I routed the line just like you did other than I have the KX style fork gaurds and then at the bottom I used an Acft style wire loom clamp and routed the line through that and bolted it to the same bolt that the outbd fork gaurd bolt. it looks really good I do not have to worry about the pipe getting crushed on a rock anymore.

The line is the Galfer that fits the Klx 300. Don't have the exact part number with me. Superhawk do you have any pictures? If your installation is better than mine I may follow your route.

I want one too, the stock one gets in the way of the gauges and the GPS. Do tell. ;)

I have used the Galfer line and I may have preferred the stock line better with a FSW line guard. The only advantage was it is a braided SS line. Mine didn't last long as it got shredded by my disc brake due to the lousing mounting design. I mounted it as intended but the way your pictures show how you guys are mounting it, it won't do what mine did. I still don't like having it on the outside of the forks. It wouldn't last long in some of the rocky sections we ride in and has more of a chance getting caught up in things. The best solution, especially if you have the KX fork guards, is to use a KX style brake line/routing. There is a reason most of if not all new off road bikes have that routing of the front brake line.
