front shock adjstment
I had a dual sport in the past, and the same thing happens with my new bike
250s When im driving on the street and barely apply front brakes the suspension dives down alot, so I tend to use the rear brake more I think these shocks are adjustable just never looked yet but if they are what should I change |
Too soft on the front springs...a common problem on these bikes. However, to clarify, what do you weigh? The stock springs are usually too soft for anyone over 150 pounds...or if you ride more aggressively. There are compression adjusters at the bottom of each fork, but if you adjust those strongly enough to address dive from soft fork springs, you'll have a horrible, harsh hit every time you hit a bump.

Read this thread thoroughly & tinkering with forks will become very clear.

Yeah....max out the suspension up front, that will help, but TNC is right these bikes are made for us fat Americans. LOL

I weigh a little over 210
I dont have this top adjustment like what was shown in the link above http://nobrakes.smugmug.com/photos/138258482-L.jpg I have the little cutout just no brass fitting nothing its sealed I looked under the tube and see I think a large bolt and I really dont want to tear it apart to do internal work is there a way to adjust the bottom bolt under the tube? if not its not a big deal |
