Flywheel weight reduction
Hello,
I saw a couple of threads from years back about flywheel shaving. There were some people who were going to try it and only kgwld1 had it done already. He's last activity here was 2010. The story goes like this that I have this D-1 94 model, I have a full spare bottom end, with gear box, oil pump and etc. So I tought to try and shave off a bit of weight from the second flywheel, not much, just a bit;). D-1 is getting the front to the air already much more easier than the S, but a tad more snap would be nice:D. I don't want to loose the bottom end, so just a bit of shaving should be enough. I am going to do it anyway, but I'm looking for a few tips on how. Should I be shaving off the inside or outside? How much did anybody here who actually tried it shave off? Possible to get measurments of the shaved area in mm or inch? Thanks fellows :o, Mikk |
