In japan it should be a common carby for KLX250.

 

WOW. I changed some settings on carby and now engine doesn't want to idle,
makes strange mechanical "knock" sounds once in a while which slow down the rpm.
Sounds are not coming on 1/2 throttle I think or the exhaust note is just too loud to hear.
No regularity, once in a couple of seconds it happens.

Can bad mixture cause that?

Would you post up what you changed in your posts? What is your float height for example during your testing? So what did you do? That kind of thing.

Read up on all of the available resources out there and apply it for your ride.

 

Just changed the pilot air screw to out 1.5 turns and mixture screw to 2 turns.
As much as I looked I did not find anything on strange knocks the engine is making.
It's quite a hard knock and always the rpm stalls for quarter to half a second.
