Engineers pump? CruzTools
Anyone ever seen one of these air pumps that uses the exhaust to pump up your tire?
Well, I'm assuming it uses the exhaust, I've yet to find any details on how it actually works, or whether it would work with my Muzzy's rather large hole. It's really cheap too. http://www.cruztools.com/tirecare.html http://img.jpcycles.com/zoom/18a0409...a2b8056b0.jpeg |

it states that it provides spark plug adaptors, leading me to think that you are to remove you plug and screw that little "plug" with the hose on it then hit the starter and it uses the compression provided by the piston to form a sort of aircompressor to fill your tire. if this is so that seems like it would flood up the cylinder.

id hate to have to try gettin one of those little adaptors in (and out of!) the sparkplug hole :x
(the sparkplug is bad enough itself) |
RE: Engineers pump? CruzTools
yeah, you screw the adaptor into the spark plug hole and crank it over as said. also it seems like unburned fuel would enter the tube and eat away the rubber.

Bleggghhh! No thanks. Thanks for helping me see the obvious...:D
No wonder they're so cheap. |

Well, you could always turn the fuel off before you aired up your tire. If you were in a jam it would work but I am sure there are better alternatives.

Why bother with this? They make ultra compact 12VDC air compressors that you can run off your battery. Just plug it intotheSAE connector on your battery that you should have already attached for you battery trickle charger. I think they are sold under the same brand as the company that makes "Tire Slime".
Even simplier is to just carry 3 or 4 CO2 cartridges and an inflator along with a tube of tire slime to plug the leak. |

Those slime power inflators look great. I might just get one of those.

Those tyre inflators in the first post are designed to work with multi cylinder engines (ie car). You take out 1 plug screw in the adaptor and start the engine, vola instant air pump.
