electric start in gear

Default electric start in gear

need help
2004 klx 250 have to start in neutral giving me the ****s. want to be able to start in gear with clutch in . can anyone help please ?

I am guessing you may have broke the pin that comes out of the clutch swithc. Easy to do when you are changing out a clutch lever if your not looking out for it. Either way short term fix is disable the clutch switch. I forget if it is normaly open or normaly closed. first try disconnecting the plug. If that does not work then make a conection on across the two wires that go into the plug.

My clutch switch filled up with dirt and was giving me problems cleaned it and all is good.

Check the clutch switch by the clutch lever.

thanks for all your help pulled the clutch switch apart, cleaned it out, put it back together ALL GOOD NOW

Thats funny, mine sotck wouldnt start with out it bein in nuetral.

That would be the sidestand switch doing it's thing.
