Fitted EBC DRC212 yet again, it started slipping within 600km.
My bike is upgraded to 330cc
Removing the EBC springs and comparing them some supplied by Keng in Thailand, they had lost quite a bit of length (on installation they were identical in length)
My mechanic put a few different springs in some spring testing machine. We ended up fitting a Vietnamese brand used in upgraded scooter engines... Think 150cc > 300cc
First try was with 6 springs: way too stiff and clutch would not disengage/engage correctly, making it difficult to find neutral at lights. Although clutch slip was gone.
Second attempt with just 3 BRT springs and 3 soft EBC springs worked a charm.
All slippage gone. Smooth gear changes. Lever strength as expected.
So there you have it. EBC clutch springs no good with the big bore kit.
Test results using the machine. OEM refers to EBC spring
