Dyno Charts: Houstons4 2013 KLX250S, effects of 1N and Stock Spring
1 Attachment(s)
This post is ultimately useless, but, I think, interesting.. It shows how much power can be found during "performance tuning" after analysing AFR, TRQ, and HP charts from a dyno session..
This is the results (before and after) of a tuning "tweak" to Houstons4's CVK setup - this tweak was derived from analyzing the chart from the "before" run in Blue.. Clik on the image to get all the goodness. Red - Tweak result - DNO352 needle reset to 1N, stock slide spring reinstalled Blue - DNO352 needle @ 2N, DJ slide spring from DJ2152 kit. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...1&d=1476133329 |
I have not posted the AFR charts because, IMO, they are "wonky" and strange. With his latest chart, I am convinced that the AFR module on that Dyno is either faulty or not being operated correctly - or both.. All his AFR charts (even the "stock bike" runs) show large areas of overfueling. On this latest chart (RED), the AFR dropped 1 full point from 7k up , even though both (Red and Blue) were using the same DJ140 main jet !!!

I'm also convinced the mechanic did not know how to use the AFR module and/or the module it is not properly serviced. The reviews of this place are atrocious. I have found two other places that have a Dyno tester for motorcycles I will be calling this week. Both are at least a couple of hours away, but we've come this far. I know, I know based on the performance of the bike and the power data it's not really needed, but I still want the data. Plus I also want a relationship with a quality Dyno shop for a Power Commander that will be going on a KTM this Spring and I'm going to want to see the data of adding the MCM in a few weeks.
More to come shortly regarding the AFR data. |
