Default Deej and the flooding in WA.

Sounds like some heavy duty flooding up in the state of Washington. Lots of rain and melting snow, not to mention avalanches and mudslides. Not sure if any of it's close to Mr Deej or not, but hope all is well. Edit ,Actually I think there's a few KF members out thata way, hope everybody is safe.

Yeah it's pretty bad. We had all of that snow, then the pineapple express blew through, the freezing level rose and a lot of snow melted in the Cascade Mts. The rivers here in western Washington are realitively short, that is from the Cascade mountain range flowing westerly towards Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean. The valleys are thus prone to flooding in these conditions. Lots of mud slides from the ground so water saturated it just gives way. Consequently there are many road closures. The good news is that many rivers have crested and are now going back down. However, it will take a while to get back to normal.

I'm fine where I live but there are a lot of folks in the low laying areas hurting right now. I hope deej is ok out there in Forks. Quinnault which is near Forks got something like 16" of rainfall!!
