Cylinder head work - cam bearing surfaces

1 Attachment(s)
Is it possible to shave the cap and line bore the cam bearing surfaces? Anybody know a shop that will do it?

*sigh*

It could cause cam to bucket clearance problems.

Either the cams or the head would need to have metal built up on the surface and machined to size.

If the cam journals are machined larger the cam bearing surfaces would need be built up and machined/ground to a mating larger diameter. This could be done by a cam grinding company, no idea of cost.

The other method would be if metal can be added to the head journals and machined back to stock size. Not sure if this is economically feasible.
