Currently looking for an aftermarket petrol tank
 

Do you guys know of any websites in which I can purchase a aftermarket petrol tank? I've currently looked on www.justgastanks.com and a few others but can't seem to find any that suit the klx 250S 09 model. Buzz me back thanks

Don't think there is one for the 09. Yet.
Somewhere I think there is a thread about a Clarke tank for the 09? :confused:

For the guys who want a larger tank. Look at this http://www.bandbmoto.com/Page_5.php. These guys offer a secondary tank at 1.1 gallons all up about 4.4 litres. Which is over 10 litres all up with the primary tank. I also read somewhere that you might need better suspension forks as well but who knows due to more weight added to the bike.

Yep, the springs need to be considered when adding weight, either front or back. I ordered the 1.1 tank. By the time I re-hang the coolant bottle up front, take out a few extra tools I used to carry on the back, plus figure in the 5 lbs I lost since I had my suspension rebuilt, subtract the weight of the stock muffler, add the weight of the Corbin seat, I think I'll be "just right". But, it is a consideration that should be assessed.

I actually like the fact that the extra weight will be carried lower on the bike, compared to a larger tank. I ride a KLR650 with a tank almost 7 gallons, so I understand "top-heavy" and "front-heavy". That's something I try to avoid on my KLX250, as I ride them on completely different types of terrain.
