That is a crack that happened when I popped the clutch and the bike stood straight up.

I'd also like to get this nomadic rack as well.

Looking to purchase that tail light set up (edge 2 tail light I believe). How is the brightness for those set ups? Is the smoke color bright enough? Does that black triangular portion come with the edge tail light set up?

That black plastic on the top is part of the stock tail on the 09-11 models, the edge light has a steel piece that replaces some of the stock stuff and fits under there. It is a nice looking set-up but on mine the light was hard to see from the rear especially if the vehicle behind me was a tall one so I went back to modified stock.

I can't really do the modified stock anymore because of the cracked fender and tail light so I need a new solution. I was hoping that black piece came with the edge tail light set up. I don't even know if the edge tail light would work with my bike.

Your bike looks really good. I'm worried that if I tried doing something like that then it would look worse then when I started it. Do you have a link to purchase that maier fender?

I got it on ebay for about $50 i think..... Not sure where else to get them from... maybe try the maier website.

If you go down this route though you may need to trim back some of the rear subframe so that it doesnt stick out the bottom....

Although there was a post with some one how installed it with-out though and it was fine. I think that person was also still using the stock rack on the back.

Here is a thought. I had this set up on my old XT350. Way cheaper than an Edge tail light.
