Default Crankshaft

Hi all. Just got a 2011 KLX250S. Problem is it meeds a new crank. Seems Kawasaki want my retirement fund for one!! Any other options? or does anybody know of a rod kit that will work? Even open to a good s/hand crank if any about. is it 2009-2014 that fit? Would need it sipped to OZ though. Cannot wait to get her running

The bottom rod bearing n rod aren't available anywhere, your not the first to find this expensive experience. Carrillo, pro x, etc do not offer anything.
eBay craigslist or brand new.... I would lean towards new so I'd not have to worry about having to buy a third crankshaft due to an unscrupulous seller

Unfortunate that you're experiencing this problem. A replacement crank is your only option-finding a used crank is a real crap shoot. Only reason a salvager is going to split apart an engine is if it has damage that keeps him from selling it whole. When my '12 hammered out the b/e bearing, I just bit the bullet and bought a new crank. So far...no worries.

Custom Work

Crank Works, Inc. is capable of modifying and manufacturing many types of custom crankshafts, along with having the ability to produce custom connecting rods.

Worth contacting them to see what it might cost.

I got mine from BikeBandit and used a 10% coupon I found online, the total was $429. Best deal I could find.

Try partszilla or partzilla not sure which one, for comparison price
