clutch lever part number
Collecting parts to repair damage from the various wrecks at this year's desert race and I need a clutch lever. The parts fish calls out the part as a brake lever and gives the same part number as the brake lever. Only 5$. Either the brake lever and clutch lever are the same thing or something is buggered up in the partsfish. Anybody able to verify the clutch part#?
Lost one of the screws holding the headlight reflector to the bracket, clutch lever, and one trailtech vapor screw. Bent the rear brake pedal all the way back over the footpeg but that is steel so I'll bend it back close to save 60$.
Just under 200 miles in the desert and two t-shirts. Awesome ride.
I won a free set of devol radiator guards too!

Found 'em on 2 different parts schematics. 1 on the Handlebar and 1 on front master cylinder.

It was a great race, just enough goat trail rock climbing to weed out the beginners and perfect moisture conditions. I did the iron man on Saturday, the desert 100 on Sunday, and then had to recover a friend's bike on Sunday after the race. Speeds are 20-30 mph, which ends up being high 2nd gear or low 3rd, it's not sand desert but whooped out rocks and sagebrush.
The vapor worked fine except for one issue. The little tiny screws that actually thread into the vapor and hold it to the trailtech bracket backed out. They are so tiny and fragile that you can't really torque them too hard and I failed to locktite them in place so one is gone but some creative tape and a zip tie kept it in place for the rest of the weekend. It worked great and the jbweld magnet on the rotor held up perfectly.
I counted at least three times that I bottomed out the forks and at least that many on the rear. No flats. I only weigh 160 lbs so the klx has soft legs.
I did run out of fuel and have to switch to reserve at 46 miles into the desert 100. Pits are at 50 so I wasn't stranded but I had to stop. Pretty poor fuel range from the stock tank.
Even the pit crews made a comment about how that little klx was spanking lots of KTMs.

I'm confused a bit Highbeam. Do you just need an OEM clutch lever? I have one off my 2012 model you can have, free. Since you're close by, pm your address and I'll send it to ya! G.
Well yes, I need an oem clutch lever but I also need a funky 2$ screw for the headlight so I need to make an order anyway and the clutchlever is only about 5$. How did you end up with an extra? Is there an aftermarket option that is an improvement? I'll send you a PM. Thanks!
