Clarke Tank Question

I recently purchased a 2007 KLX250 with a new Clarke tank installed. When you turn the handlebars left and right the tank hits the handlebar bottom holder. Is there any fix for this? I did a search and didn't find anything.
Thanks

must have a custom set of bars/risers/bend or something.

I have a clarke tank with a set of renthal bars and it doesn't hit. Also worked fine with the stock bars.

Are your bars bent?

Try rolling the bars forward a bit. Makes the cockpit roomier as well as possibily clearing the tank.

Sorry...the handlebars are not hitting. It's hitting at the stock bottom of the handlebar holder. I have been looking online to find the instructions for a Clarke install for the KLX with no luck. There is a rubber bumper underneath the orig tank (in front). I'm wondering if that has to come off when you put the Clarke tank on? That would lower the tank enough so it wouldn't hit.

steady hand and a die grinder , removed the offending alum

I'd clean the tank completely and hit it with a heat gun before I took material off the triple tree.
Plastic can be reformed pretty easily.
Please just make sure there is no gas left in it, if you do this.

Or call the manufacturer and ask for some help with mounting.

just needed to round off a pointy corner, very little material, maybe 1/16" at most, know what ya mean though :)
