Default Clarke Tank INSTALL QUESTION !

OK guys, installed the Clarke Tank, everything went smooth though I removed the petcock and drained it cleanly from the workbench instead of how they said in the directions.

Now my question. Installed, the tank doesn't rest on the frame anywhere. It seems to be fully supported by the 3 bolt locations. It's down as far as it will go in the stock side mounts and the side covers actually have less gap than most of the pics I've seen. It just doesn't seem that the plastic around the molded in nuts will really withhold 20 lbs sloshing around for very long. It'stight now, but will it really last? Should I lower the mounts (weld)or isn't the tank supposed to rest on the frame because it would wear or weaken it? Or is it because the tank will swell?

Uh, yeah.....

Some of us use this forum to exchange useful information. I have never complained before about anyone, but youfiled 3 garbage postsin a row onanother thread with a serious question about exhaust weight savings comparing aftermarket to the heavy cat system on our bikes. Joking is funny when it doesn't get out of hand, but please...silence is often golden too.......and helps this forum be the useful resource that it is.
