Checking brake fluid for rear brake.
Hi,
I am wondering what needs to be removed to get to the rear brake fluid resivoir? I am now at work so I can't check it out... but when i got off the bike, I couldn't see any fluid in there. This is very strange. There aren't any leaks anywhere and the bike has less than 250 miles on it.. I hardly use the rear brake .. or any brake for that matter. Thanks |
RE: Checking brake fluid for rear brake.
you have to take off the seat to get to the two screws on the reservoir, but before you do that, take and stand the bike straight up and shine a flashlight one the side of the reservoir and you should be able to see a line there. The plastic is pretty thick and so its hard to see the level, but if you are really worried about it its better to be safe than sorry, take the cover off and see what you see.;)

I do not suggest you take the cover off unless you know what you are doing, brake fluid eats paint and is easily contanimated. You should be able to tell by looking at the reservoir, if not shine a torch from the back of it
