carbs
I know theres alot posting. BUT here's the deal I called a carb shop, talk about how I wanted to buy one carb one time. The tm36 is a little big for a stock 250 and posting say it's the easiest fitting and to adjust. He said maybe if some people were into it he could mill a reducer to make it a 33mm and once you upgraded to a 331 big bore press it out and wow a 36 mill, just like that. It's just an idea. But it sure beats buying two carbs.
Hey, Jeff. You're asking some great questions. Asking and gathering information is free and actually a big part of the fun, isn't it? I have no experience with the TM36, but word is it's a good one as you suggested. I'd love to see some dyno stats to see how the power ramps up and overall hp. But as you said, it's probably not a good unit for a stocker. If I was where you are and knew what I've learned along the way, I'd probably sit back and run the stock carb with the N1TC needle upgrade, slide drilling and the other "free" or compatible with big bore mods as you have done and simply enjoy the bike. Once you're ready to big bore, rock on with the new carb of your choice and have a ball.
I am currently running a KK 331, Web Cams, Luke's Racing headwork and Bill Blue TM "34," and love it.
Good luck!

I've done all I can do with the carb. My bigest issue is the hard start if I don't start it all the time. I install a prime and with that it starts all the time. Pumper carb twist the throttle and no more primer valve. Besides it would look cleaner.
