Unhappy Carb Problems. Help

So I installed my dyno jet kit today, everything went well, everything back together....turned my fuel on and there's a steady flow of fuel coming from the overflow and from around the bowl I'm thinking float level got all jacked up when I had the carb off, but that doesn't really explain why its leaking around where the bowl screws on. Looking for some insight before I go tearing into it tomorrow so if anyone could help I'd really appreciate it

thanks!

Sounds like you may not have gotten the bowl fully seated onto the carb body.

It would if the float is pinned down and can't shut off the valve. Make sure you didn't put the bowl on backwards by mistake or the float in upside down.

The comment that fuel is coming out around where the bowl meets the carb body is the odd one for me. A stuck float or anything similar should just allow fuel to come out the overflow tube.

There should be a shaped o ring seal fitted in a groove around the mating surface of the bowl. Make sure that is in there, and that it is in the groove.
When you say "overflow" do you mean the drain tube on the bottom of the bowl? If so , fuel leaking from between the bowl and carb could be running down the outside of the carb bowl drain tube, and may look like its coming out of the tube. ??

I'm going to pick up a new seal today, thinking thold one might be shot. But the gas is also most definitely coming out of the overflow as well, quite a bit

Sooo I went out to begin what i was expecting to be a pain in the butt day ripping my carb back off...turned on the fuel and much to my surprise...no fuel coming out of the overflow now! Hmmmm....guessing the float was stuck and let go over night? Should i be concerned about this or ride like it never happened? Still a little fuel coming out from around the bowl but not nearly as much

Man, fuel coming out from around the bowl is a bad thing. This fuel drops directly on the engine. It doesn't take much imagination to see where this could lead. When the carb overflows "internally" from a stuck float or such, it should come out of the overflow tube which is directed to the ground, bypassing the engine. Are we sure we're getting a good description here?

Your bike should have no leaks, especially gasoline. Do whatever is necessary to remedy the situation.
