California avaliblity of klx250s ?
I know a few of the forum users here are from California and have gone "out of state" to purchase their bikes, but does anyone have the "inside" information to as when or if this model will be avalible in California. I also have sent Kawasaki cust. Service e-mail with this same question and have not been given an answer.

I called Kawasaki (also located in California!) and got a Moron who had no info other than" that model is not avalible in california"
As far as living in California I know it sucks,[X(] the gun laws suck even more.....maby a move to Arizona in the future is in order!

Minnesota with Jesse "The Body" Ventura and California with "Arnold" as their respective Governors just don't impress me!
Maybe there will be a "Predator III" coming to your theaters soon!

Kawi did'nt offer the KLX-250S in a California version this year, as a result, the bike is technically illegal in factory trim as it did'nt pass California's emmisions regulations.
That said, part of why I found that out is through Kawiforums and my association with sportbikes, I get discounts through a dealership located in California, and being that its a California dealership and the KLX-250S is not sold in California, the dealerships there cannot legally provide the parts for the bike in that state.
I don't know all of Cali's laws and how they work as I live up in Oregon, thats simply the feedback I got through the dealer I work through. It took them awhile to even figure out what bike I was calling about because it was'nt even updated into the computers there, since Kawi won't provide them with parts as a California dealer, they can't get any factory parts for the bike.
All that said.., it may still be possible to find some way to get the bike out of state and get it road legal there, then it would only mean factory parts would have to be ordered out of California and shipped to you.
