Brand New KLX 250SF....all smiles
First I wanted to thank everyone on the forum for all the great info!! I had a 2001 klx300 a few years ago that was plated in Oregon...loved it. I sold it cause I moved to the city and figured I wasn't going to be trail riding that much :( a few years later and my girlfriend ended up getting her endorsement now she wants to get into riding ...So now I have a great excuse to get another bike or ..two!!:).. First I ended up getting a great deal on a cherry 74' RD200... But one bike is not enough for two people! After searching high and low for the perfect bike (for me and for her to learn on) I saw a ad for a brand new 0 mile 2009 KLX250SF at the local dealer for $3400.... That didn't take much convincing..and I didn't realize how much I missed my KLX. WOW, what a great bike!
I got it home and peeled the stickers off, and I will be cutting the whale tail off sometime today. No plans for mods.. this week. All smiles! Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. I know what I will be doing :D CHEERS!!! |
Congrats, you're going to love it. I don't understand everyone taking the decals off though. (scratching head)

Its just so much cleaner, Less is more!

Welcometo the forums, and just for the record, stickers add horsepower! ;) Also a clean bike goes faster. LOL

Why yes, my pickup does have stickers on all sides. Ford emblems, F350 emblems, powerstroke diesel emblems, etc. All factory.
It does look nice without them though. Looking forward to more detail on your "rear end" like how did you mount the license plate, blinkers, etc. The common edge kit is a big step up from stock but has some shortcomings. Your idea is new. |
Bazzy.....where did you get that tail light?? and does it have blinkers built in by any chance? Really like the look of it

---------------------------------------------- It's lucky for me that my aesthetic tastes gravitate to the clean look of no stickers because after the first couple of pressure washes, all my factory decals were stripped clean off! |
That was a good deal.

I tried to find an 09, but they were all sold out. Had to buy a 10 but it was still in the crate. Paid MSRP, but I got the dealer set up waived. I saw another user has a good combo Ford F350 smoker, and a klx. Trying to include a picture from a first ride. Any input on using mobil 1 synthetic. If I can figure out how to get into the posts, i will probably find it has been answered. I don't know how the Mr. Clean picture got in there it looks good, my picture is small.
