Default Bigger Tank...?

I was going to order a bigger tank for my 2012 and was wondering if I need to modify anything for the California smog crap on my bike? I know it has a charcoal canister and some extra lines...and a non vented cap I'm pretty sure. I've pretty much decided on the IMS tank...probably in the black flavor so it looks some what factory. Any opinions? I know Clarke has a tank and I've seen a few fleabay no namers floating around.

Thanks!

IMS gives straight forward instructions for the California install. Take your time with screwing things into the tank so you don't strip anything out. I still have all my smog crap its the next thing on my to do list. Search the forum for California smog removal there is a great how to write ups on here. Good Luck

I installed my IMS tank over the weekend. I had previously removed my smog crap so I didn't have to contend with any of the tubes. In fact, I was able to remove 3 tubes that were connected to the OEM tank. I did have some problems with the install, you can read them here if you want.

I also got my Acerbis locking gas cap yesterday and it fits fine.

How is the quality of the tank? Any regrets? I really like the stock tank and fuel cap but obviously the capacity blows.

The other route I was thinking was getting a Rotopax or some round fuel bottles for the rear. Then I can have them when I need them and leave them at home when I don't.

Any thoughts?

I'm looking at the Clarke myself, mostly because of the price and I like the slightly smaller form factor over the IMS.

I haven't seen much on the Clarke though.
