RE: Big gun quiet core

I am still waiting for my exhaust, backordered until March. I tried to order the quiet core on line from the Big Gun site but they had it posted as backorderd as well. Di dyou order yours through someone else and are going to have to wait or was it in stock. You mentioned that you orderd some repacking, is that somehting I am going to need or will I be set when I get the new exhaust?

The packing will over time burn out so that is why you need it but it comes with it

RE: Big gun quiet core

yea this will be the second time i repack the big gun. I called them on the phone, and he said it should get made and shipped today, no waiting here....:D When i bought the pipe i bought it right from them over the phone. He said that they didnt have the fiberglass packing all they had was the stainless steel kind and it was 59$... so i said ill just order it right from race tools.... it was only 29$

RE: Big gun quiet core

EMS, what's the advantage of having fiberglass packing as opposed to stainless steel packing?

RE: Big gun quiet core

well im not sure if there is any, the stainless is supposed to last forever... but for me it was the price difference.... the steel doesnt "burn" out.
